Career Description 

GateWay's Information Security program (InfoSec) is designed to provide students and working professionals with the real-world knowledge and techniques to defend the critical infrastructure and data of an organization. Emphasis is placed on developing the theoretical and practical skills needed to maintain security on mission-critical data and systems. The program is designed to meet the training needs of government and industry in the metro Phoenix area. You'll learn a variety of information security disciplines which include both vendor-neutral and vendor-specific information technology (IT) security training. GateWay's InfoSec track prepares students for internationally recognized IT certifications and high demands in business, industry and government.

According to the Certification Magazine’s (CertMag.com) 2005 Salary Survey, depending on years of experience and total certifications earned, Certified Information Systems Security Professionals (CISSP’s) can earn on average $93,000-$116,000 a year, while Cisco Certified Security Professionals (CCSPs) can earn on average $91,000 a year and CompTIA Security+ certified professionals earn an average salary of $63,000.
